Carrier Sign-Up for Direct Shipper Freight Support

Start carrier intake so Equitable can understand your equipment, lanes, service area, rate floor, operating limits, and direct shipper outreach authorization. Carrier approval and correct documents are required before direct shipper workflow access.

Before access
  • Complete the carrier intake packet.
  • Upload required carrier documents.
  • Confirm lanes, equipment, and outreach authorization.
  • Wait for approval before using managed-dispatch workflow tools.
Keep more of your linehaul revenue

Two clear carrier-facing service paths.

Carrier self-dispatch remains a separate path. For managed dispatch, Equitable Solutions LLC is the carrier's contracted dispatch-service provider and fulfills the service through an assigned Independent Contractor Dispatcher.

3%

Owner-operator self-dispatch

You use the carrier system and perform the daily workflow yourself.

7.5% total

Equitable managed dispatch

6% of linehaul is dispatcher compensation and 1.5% is retained by Equitable.

Simple comparison example

At $150,000 in annual linehaul, compared with an 8% percentage fee:

  • 3% self-dispatch: potential difference of $7,500 per year.
  • 7.5% Equitable managed dispatch: potential difference of $750 per year.

Managed-dispatch payment flow: the carrier pays Equitable only for dispatch services. Equitable pays 6% of linehaul to the assigned Independent Contractor Dispatcher and retains 1.5% of linehaul from the same 7.5% carrier charge. Broker, shipper, and factor freight proceeds remain payable directly to the carrier or its factor and do not enter this payment flow.

Required carrier information

Your lane profile protects the workflow.

Equitable works toward carrier-approved direct shipper lanes and less load-board dependence, while using suitable broker/load-board freight in the interim. Carrier-specific outreach requires approved equipment, lanes, service area, rate expectations and written authorization; recurring freight is not guaranteed.

Equipment and lanes

Dry van, reefer, flatbed, hotshot, box truck, power only, or other equipment must be matched to approved lanes and service areas.

Documents and authority

Carrier intake documents help confirm authority, insurance, tax details, agreements, and load-service boundaries.

Managed-dispatch activation

After intake and verification, Equitable activates the carrier for managed dispatch. The carrier receives secure task-specific links when approval, documents, or compliance action is needed.

Carrier intake process

What happens before managed-dispatch workflow approval.

The intake packet and document upload confirm the carrier profile before direct shipper workflow access is approved.

Step 1

Complete the packet

Fill out the carrier intake packet with accurate equipment, lane, operating, and authorization information.

Step 2

Upload required documents

Submit signed agreements and carrier documents so the approval review has the correct records.

Step 3

Wait for review

Access is reviewed before managed-dispatch workflow use because direct shipper workflow must stay tied to approved carrier details.

Step 4

Start authorized managed dispatch

After administrator verification, your assigned dispatcher coordinates freight; you receive only secure carrier-specific links for approvals, documents and other carrier actions. General Carrier Portal login is retired.

Upload carrier documents

Upload the documents for the carrier's selected service path. Managed dispatch requires the current carrier agreement, Limited Power of Attorney (LPOA), Communication Authorization and supporting documents before administrator activation. No general Carrier Portal account is required.

Carrier Onboarding Document Upload

Upload one signed document at a time. Every file saves into the Equitable Core Onboarding Documents Center for admin review.

Carrier Documents by Service Path:
  • Carrier Intake Packet
  • Carrier Agreement
  • Required Limited Power of Attorney / LPOA — current managed-dispatch onboarding
  • Required Communication Authorization — managed-dispatch onboarding
  • W-9
  • Certificate of Insurance / COI
  • MC / USDOT Authority Info
  • Factoring / NOA if used
  • Direct Freight Development Consent if selected
  • Current process: These documents support managed dispatch and secure carrier-specific links. A general Carrier Portal and self-dispatch service are retired. All required documents must be verified before activation.

Carrier sign-up FAQ

Questions before you submit carrier intake.

Use these questions to understand secure carrier-specific intake, required documents, administrator verification, and the carrier-controlled operating scope; general Carrier Portal login has been retired.

What happens on carrier sign-up?

Carriers download or open the intake packet, provide required information, upload documents, and then use the managed-dispatch workflow after approval.

Why does Equitable need carrier lane information?

Lane, equipment, service area, and rate-floor information are needed so direct shipper outreach stays tied to the carrier’s approved operating profile.

Can a carrier keep control of decisions?

Yes. The carrier controls lanes, rates, equipment, outreach authorization, final approval, and freight money.

What happens after carrier sign-up?

Equitable provides database access, workflow tools, training direction, documents, and compliance controls. Freight research and outreach stay tied to carrier-approved equipment, lanes, service areas, operating plans, and final carrier decisions.
