Rate confirmation
Review the parties, equipment, origin, destination, appointments, linehaul, fuel, accessorial terms, tracking requirements, and special instructions before carrier approval.
BOL and delivery documents
The bill of lading records the shipped freight and pickup details. After delivery, collect a legible proof of delivery showing signatures, dates, exceptions, and required pages.
Keep documents tied to the load
Store the rate confirmation, BOL, POD, receipts, accessorial proof, tracking notes, and invoice record under the correct load. A general upload folder makes closeout and dispute review harder.
